The University of Arizona Wind Ensemble and Chamber Winds will perform their second concert of the semester on Thursday, October 20, 2016 in Crowder Hall at 7:30 p.m. Both the Wind Ensemble and Chamber Winds are under the direction of Dr. Chad R. Nicholson, who was recently appointed director of bands at the Fred Fox School of Music. Sharing the podium will be master's conducting student Evan Gibson.

The UA Wind Ensemble and Chamber Winds will be celebrating 20th-century composers with works such as Arnold Schoenberg's "Fanfare on Motifs of 'Die Gurrelieder'" and "Theme and Variations," Kurt Weill's "Little Threepenny Music," Kevin M. Walczyk's "Eloi, Eloi," and "Florentiner March" by Julius Fu?ík.
