With abundant outdoor exhibits, gardens and trails, the Desert Museum is primarily an open air experience. Visitors should wear a hat, sunscreen, loose, layered clothing, and comfortable walking shoes. If you're visiting during colder months, you should bring a jacket or coat. Drinking fountains and shaded seating areas are located throughout the museum grounds and all of the museum's indoor exhibits are air conditioned.
