Explore The Arizona Desert At Sabino Canyon Recreation AreaNestled in the shadow of the Santa Catalina Mountains, just outside downtown Tucson, beautiful Sabino Canyon Recreation Area is a spectacular place for exploration and fun. Enjoy a narrated 45-minute tram tour or a day of hiking, biking, and horseback riding on the Bear Canyon Trail. Winding through the canyon, the trail passes native plants, towering rock formations, picnic spots, and stone bridges at Sabino Creek before reaching the drop-off overlooking Hutch's Pool swimming hole. Be sure to stop by the Visitor's Center to learn more about the park, enjoy hands-on exhibits, and pick up souvenirs.
Prices -Park admission is $5 per vehicle. Tram fees are $10 adults; $5 children (3-12). Children 2 and under ride free.
Hours -The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset. The Visitor's Center is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
