A Place Created with Purpose

A Tucson Legacy Since 1930

Arizona Inn's story began with Isabella Greenway: Arizona’s first congresswoman, a pioneering entrepreneur and a woman with a remarkable vision for hospitality. In 1929, M. Greenway established the Arizona Hut, a furniture workshop that created meaningful employment for disabled World War I veterans. A year later, during the depths of the Great Depression, she opened Arizona Inn, in part to create demand for her Hut's craftmanship while offering travelers a gradious desert sanctuary.

On December 18, 1930, Arizona Inn welcomed its first guests. More than nine decades later, the Inn remains one of Tucson's most enduring landmarks - a place defined by historic architecture, lush gardens, warm hospitality and an unmistabkable sense of place.
